Welcome to the Weatherby Web site! This year marks the 65th anniversary of Weatherby. In 1945, my father, Roy Weatherby, hung his hat on creating a revolutionary action. The Mark V®, with its many one-of-a-kind features, changed the face of long rifle design. The distinctive raised comb, Monte Carlo stock was also a design that turned the heads of the shooting world. It’s gratifying to know that so many of those same principles are still intact, virtually unchanged from their origins in both the Mark V lineup as well as our popular Vanguard line.
Our online community, Weatherby Nation, continues to grow with tens of thousands of shooting and hunting enthusiasts coming together to trade opinions and experiences in an easy-to-use, interactive format. If you’ve not yet joined, visit WeatherbyNation.com to register. It’s easy to do and there’s no cost or obligation. I’m confident you’ll find Weatherby Nation to be a great place to engage others who enjoy Weatherby and the shooting sports.
Finally, one of the highlights of this past year was the "Why I Want a Weatherby Video Contest." We had 66 creative finalists with the Grand Prize winner voted on by the members of Weatherby Nation. The top video showcased a moving story of Dale Hagberg (paralyzed in a diving accident) wanting a Weatherby rifle for his longtime friend and hunting partner Frank McDonald. I was pleased to host Frank here in California where he toured our facility and was able to build his own custom Mark V rifle, and then enjoy a successful wild boar hunt near Parkfield, California with Miller Brothers Expeditions.
65 years. We’ve accomplished a great deal over that time. But I’m also certain that the best is yet to come. Thanks for visiting our site and for your continued support of Weatherby.
Good shooting and God Bless!
