Weatherby® Introduces New SA-08 Synthetic Shotguns
Offering unmatched load versatility and affordability, Weatherby’s® SA-08 line of semi-automatic shotguns is now available to hunters and shooters in a synthetic model.
The new Weatherby SA-08 Synthetic features the proven dual valve system that allows shooters to quickly adapt the shotguns to accommodate the widest load ranges. The dual valve system also manages recoil and reduces it as compared to traditional single valve shotguns.
Available in either 12 or 20 gauge, the SA-08 Synthetic has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of just $649. Its black composite stock helps reduce weight and add durability. The shotgun’s alloy receiver further reduces weight and improves the overall balance. The 12 gauge model weighs a light 6 1/2 pounds, and the 20 gauge model is even lighter at 6 pounds.
“With the addition of the dual valve system, our SA-08 semi-auto shotguns offer the widest range of load versatility,” said Brad Ruddell, Weatherby’s vice president of sales and marketing. “The first thing you notice when you pick one up is the trim look and light feel. Not noticeable, but still very important, is the fact that no other similar design of shotgun has been tested and refined as much as the Weatherby SA-08 Synthetic.”
The SA-08 Synthetic receiver features a unique drop-out trigger system. This system can be removed and reassembled quickly for easy cleaning.
Other key features include chrome-lined barrels to withstand years of high-volume shooting and reduce the effort necessary to keep the barrel clean. The barrels have lengthened forcing cones for improved patterns and less shooter fatigue. A screw-in Integral Multi-Choke System is compatible with the Briley® thread pattern. The shotgun comes with Improved Cylinder, Modified and Full choke tubes that allow shooters to tailor their shot patterns for specific hunting applications.
Both 12 and 20 gauge models are available in barrel lengths of 26 and 28 inches. For more information, visit www.weatherby.com.
