Versatile and dependable, Weatherby’s® new PA-08 Synthetic pump shotgun provides hunters with a commonly affordable “workhorse” that can be counted on for years of high-volume shooting, whether it’s turkeys in the spring or pheasants in the fall.

“Our new PA-08 Synthetic builds on the success of the PA-08 Upland, which was introduced a couple years ago,” said Brad Ruddell, Weatherby’s vice president of sales and marketing. “It has the same great stock design, along with the attributes that make a synthetic gun popular: ruggedness, durability and, of course, affordability.  We closely oversee the factory testing, evaluation and assembly of the PA-08 Synthetic and quality-check every shipment to make sure it meets Weatherby standards.”

Available in 12 gauge with a three-inch chamber and either a 26- or 28-inch barrel, the PA-08 Synthetic features a black lightweight injection-molded stock.  All metalwork is matte black to reduce glare.

Constructed of aircraft-grade alloys to reduce overall weight without compromising strength, the CNC-machined receiver is designed to improve the balance of the shotgun for better handling.  A chrome-plated bolt helps prevent the action from binding and eases operation.  The drop-out trigger system can be quickly removed for easy cleaning and reassembled.

In addition, the PA-08 Synthetic offers a chrome-lined barrel to withstand years of high-volume shooting, while lengthened forcing cones help reduce felt recoil.  A vented top rib dissipates heat and helps facilitate target acquisition, as does the brass bead front sight.

Three application-specific choke tubes (Improved Cylinder, Modified and Full) are included with each shotgun.  The screw-in Integral Multi-Choke System is compatible with the Briley® thread pattern and allows shooters to tailor their shot patterns for specific needs.  All Weatherby chokes feature an easy-to-use identification system so the user can quickly identify the proper choke for the shooting situation.

The PA-08 Synthetic carries a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $399.
