We start with Norma® Precision brass, the finest that money can buy (handloaders also tell us it’s the finest for reloading). Then we add premium grade primers and bullets from the top names in the business—Hornady®, Nosler® and Barnes. The result is that each Weatherby Magnum cartridge is produced with the precision of handloading...with the blistering speed and downrange power to deliver the opportunity for more one-shot kills. In virtually every case, no other commercially-produced ammunition provides the Maximum Point Blank Range of Weatherby. Nothing shoots flatter, hits harder or is more accurate out of the box than a Weatherby.

A unique double radius Venturi shoulder design - Increases the velocity of escaping gases without increasing the pressure within the cartridge. This results in higher velocity within standard pressure ranges.

Brass - We use Norma Precision brass, offering CNC-machined primer pockets produced to matchgrade specifications...the finest that money can buy.

Specially-designed Primers - Provide positive ignition of the large powder charged found in Weatherby Magnum ammunition.

Powder - Norma® High-Grade Premium Powder is used in all Weatherby Magnum Ammunition to deliver maximum attainable velocity and energy. Each lot of powder is tested to assure consistency and to achieve the lowest standard velocity deviation from shot to shot, improving accuracy. Gives the non-handloader handloaded performance and accuracy.

Bullet - Weatherby® Magnum Ammunition offers a variety of premium grade bullets that are carefully selected for specific hunting applications. To meet varying needs, we proudly load the renowned Barnes TSX™, the popular Nosler® Partition®, Nosler Ballistic Tip®, Nosler Accubond®, and the Hornady® Interlock®. And new for 2009, we also now offer the Barnes TTSX™, an exciting new polymer tipped bullet that pushed the velocity threshold to a whole new level. Barnes’ new TTSX takes the proven performance of their Triple-Shock X bullet design and adds a streamlined polymer tip. The result is a blistering fast projectile that pushes the velocity threshold to a whole new level. It features the same 100% copper body with multiple rings cut into the shank to deliver gnat’s-eyelash accuracy and “dead right there” performance-but with an added polymer tip that boosts the ballistic coefficient and improves long-range ballistics. The tip and a re-engineered nose cavity provide even faster expansion.

Hornady® Interlock®

A tried and true hunting bullet, the InterLock promises more mass, energy and momentum at impact for greater stopping penetration. Hornady’s pioneering secant ogive design offers a high ballistic coefficient with maximum bearing surface for greater stability.

• Retains more mass and energy for deep penetration and large, consistent wound channels

That’s why Nosler engineered the Ballistic Tip hunting bullet to be very predictable and extremely forgiving...a proven performer for more than 20 years.

• A polycarbonate tip resists deformation in the magazine and initiates expansion upon impact. The tip is color-coded by caliber
• Fully tapered jacket and special lead alloy core allows controlled expansion and optimum weight retention at all practical velocity levels

Nosler® Accubond®

A serious hunting bullet designed to typical Nosler standards. AccuBond represents the most advanced bonded core bullet technology to date. The result is a bullet that flies true, penetrates deep and retains its weight-and won’t cause extensive barrel fouling. The benchmark by which all bonded core bullets will be measured.

• A polymer tip resists deformation in the magazine and initiates expansion upon impact
• Fully tapered, heavy alloy jacket is bonded to the special lead alloy core through a proprietary process designed for controlled expansion, deep penetration and 60-70% weight retention
• Totally concentric, impact extruded jacket bonds completely to the bullet core for extreme accuracy

Favored the world over for its superior penetration and bone-crushing stopping power, the Nosler Partition provides the ultimate in accuracy, controlled expansion and weight retention in any caliber, on any game, and in any situation. Nosler Partition is truly the standard of excellence and value in big game bullets.

• Fully tapered jacket ruptures instantly at the thin jacket mouth. Gradual thickening along the bullet’s axis controls expansion and curls the jacket uniformly outward at all velocities
• Lead alloy dual-core construction provides superior mushrooming at virtually all impact velocities
• Integral partition supports the expanded mushroom and retains the rear lead alloy core
• Enclosed rear core retains more than half the original bullet weight for deep penetration
• Special crimp locks in the rear core section add strength to resist deformation under the pressure of heavy magnums
