Choke Tube availability
Why is there only full and improved cylinder tubes offered? I would like the option of buying skeet 1 and skeet 2 tubes should they be available. This is a serious shortcoming in your offerings as far as I am concerned.
Prefers OEM Equipment - Tube Markings
I'm over 60 years of age. I have over 35 years of experience in managing quality control and quality assurance in manufacturing and technology. A lot of that experience is in geometric dimensioning and tolerance work. In my experience, it is almost always better to go with replacement parts that made by the Original Manufacturer. These Weatherby tubes screw in and lock in perfectly and with ease. Despite what some bloggers may say, the tubes are of excellent quality.
As for the markings, in addition to the painted marks each tube has a series of small notches on the surface that becomes flush with the barrel end. The small notches are on one of the lands between the wrench grooves. One notch is full choke. Three notches is modified. And, four notches is improved. I hope this helps!
the" painted on" choke markings wear off quickly with normal use.
how do I tell which choke is which without the painted markings..?
